SALT LAKE CITY, UT, July 22, 2009–Amirsys, Inc. (AMIRSYS®), a global leader in decision support solutions for pathology and radiology, announced today the release of PathIQ® ImmunoQuery® CustomSync™.  PathIQ ImmunoQuery, Amirsys’ immunohistochemistry decision support system for immunostain ordering utilizes the unique CustomSync customer interface to decrease turnaround time, improve the quality of patient care and save cost by more efficiently utilizing a laboratory’s existing inventory of antibodies.

“PathIQ ImmunoQuery CustomSync helps hospitals or independent labs promote cost-effective management of their internal antibody and IHC resources,” reports Elizabeth Hammond, MD FCAP, Executive Editor for Pathology at Amirsys. “ImmunoQuery CustomSync allows a lab to use the new custom immunostain menu mapping feature between the lab’s existing inventory and ImmunoQuery’s extensive antibody menu and database.  The system will then automatically compare the antibodies in the lab’s own inventory to pathologist requested IHC panels and determine if the requested antibodies are “available in-house.” In addition, the integration helps streamline the pathologist’s workflow by ensuring that the most effective immunostains possible are ordered, thereby improving the quality of patient care.
